One complaint that I’ve heard before is, I don’t have time to build a strategy, I need a job now!
This is a trap.
A time wasting trap. When you don’t have a plan, you lose time and nothing is more valuable.
Too often, I see job seekers in tech try every piece of advice they read in Forbes or see on LinkedIn, and then they get confused and tired. Experimenting can be a good thing, but if you’re confused about your strategy, you’re more likely to waste time than strike gold.
